Role: Sales/Estimator
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: 30,000/ 35,000 (DOE)
Our client a key supplier of solar/blinds within the construction industry, are keen to recruit an additional experienced Sales/Estimator to their current team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Estimating and Quoting:
Analysing project requirements, gathering necessary information, and creating detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other associated costs.
* Proposal Development:
Developing comprehensive and well-presented proposals, including cost breakdowns and technical specifications, that meet client needs and align with company objectives.
* Client Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a point of contact, and providing expert guidance on technical and commercial aspects of the project.
* Collaboration:
Working closely with sales teams, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project progression and accurate information sharing.
* Sales Support:
Assisting the sales team in achieving sales targets by providing timely and accurate estimates, participating in client meetings, and contributing to sales strategies.
* System Maintenance:
Maintaining accurate records of all estimation activities, updating company systems with relevant information, and ensuring data integrity.
* Technical Understanding:
Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate and compliant estimates.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
* Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to calculate costs accurately.
* Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
* Sales and Business Development:
Understanding of sales principles and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
* Commercial Awareness:
Understanding of commercial and contractual terms and the ability to negotiate effectively.
* Organization and Time Management:
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with relevant software, such as ERP systems, estimating software, and Microsoft Office suite.
* Industry Knowledge:
Construction/Fit-out/Blinds knowledge.
