Overview
We are seeking an experienced solar PV installer LOCAL TO GUILDFORD (max 30-40 mins drive away) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, as well as the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. A commitment to safety and quality is essential in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Install solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties, including ground mounted systems.
* Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
* Perform fabrication tasks as required for system installation.
* Conduct roofing & other work to prepare for solar panel / cable / trench placement.
* Engage in construction tasks for structural support of solar installations.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, PPE, working at height and company policies throughout the installation process.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools are accounted for at the end of each job.
Experience
* Proven experience in construction, roofing, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is essential.
* Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry will be advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
* A valid driver's licence is required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: £120.00-£250.00 per day
