Weare looking for a dynamic individual to have responsibility for theleadership, coordination and delivery of LTHT Occupational Healthimmunisations. Ensuring the organisation complies with UKSHAs nationalprinciples, practices and procedures for occupational immunisations.
Main duties of the job
Workingas an integral part of the Occupational Health team, the post will:
Co-ordinatethe safe and efficient delivery of all LTHT Occupational Health vaccinationprogrammes, catch up campaigns and outbreak response programmes.
Ensureall staff administering immunisations, both permanent and bank staff areappropriately trained and maintain consistently excellent standards ofclinical practice.
Actas a source for expert immunisation knowledge and information within LTHT.
Dependingon previous experience or the undertaking of further training this positionmay offer an opportunity to undertake additional roles within theOccupational Health department to meet service needs commensurate to thegrade.

TheOccupational Health Service at LTHT are on an improvement journey so this isan exciting time to join the service. TheOccupational Health Team is a multi-disciplinary one, comprising of aConsultant/Clinical Lead, a speciality doctor in Occupational Health, anOccupational Therapist, Band 8a Senior Nurse, Band 7 Specialist NursePractitioners, Band 5 Nurse Advisors, an Occupational Health Technician, asessional Psychiatrist and a Clinical Psychologist alongside an extremelysupportive administrative team.

Job responsibilities
Workingwithin LTHT Occupational Health department the post holder will:
Haveresponsibility for the leadership, coordination and delivery of LTHTOccupational Health immunisations. Ensuring the organisation complies withUKSHAs national principles, practices and procedures for occupationalimmunisations.
Co-ordinatethe safe and efficient delivery of the LTHT Winter Vaccination campaign, asrequired catch up campaigns and outbreak response programmes.
Workwithin the Occupational Health Team to provide health promotion and supportaround immunisations to LTHT employees.
Supportthe embedding of effective governance arrangements and ensuring adherence tothese.
Ensureall staff administering immunisations, both permanent and bank staff,maintain consistently excellent standards of clinical practice
Organiseand deliver training programmes for Occupational Health nurses and supportstaff, covering theory and practice of safe vaccine administration includingco-ordinating all new starter training which will include induction, trainingcompetencies and annual updates in accordance with the National MinimumStandards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for registeredHealthcare Practitioners.
Actas a source for expert immunisation knowledge and information within LTHT.
Overseethe ordering, storage and transport of vaccines, maintenance of immunisationequipment and provision of required resources.
Beresponsible for the development/updating of processes, policy, proceduresincluding immunisation protocols, written instructions and patient groupdirectives.
Contributeto managing the administrative and financial aspects of Occupational Healthimmunisations, ensuring cost effective use of all resources.
Dependingon previous experience or the undertaking of further training this positionmay offer an opportunity to undertake additional roles within theOccupational Health department to meet service needs.
