Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that delight our guests.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling, and shift management.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
* Manage food production processes to maintain quality standards while optimizing efficiency.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper equipment usage.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
* Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings.
Skills
* Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role within the restaurant or catering industry.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with inventory control processes and menu planning strategies.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
* A solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
* Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
