Sous Chef – Edinburgh
We’re on the lookout for a driven and experienced Sous Chef to join one of Edinburgh’s most exciting and fast-paced hospitality venues. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative kitchen team delivering high-quality dishes in a visually engaging, high-volume environment.
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation, maintain exceptional standards, and inspire the team to consistently deliver outstanding food.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen management
* Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
* Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
* Managing stock, ordering, and kitchen financials including GP targets
* Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
* Driving creativity and contributing to menu development
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Background in high-volume, premium casual dining or branded concepts
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* A passion for quality food, innovation, and guest experience
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
* Solid understanding of kitchen financials and cost control
