Emergency Preparedness Team Member

Pay: £18.93 per hour

Hours: Monday- Friday 37 hours
Location: Heysham, Morecambe, LA3 2XH

Are you proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop your experience in emergency management? Our client, a reputable operator of a nuclear power station, is hiring for a dedicated Emergency Preparedness Team Member at Heysham 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vital team ensuring resilient emergency arrangements and safety compliance.

What you'll be doing:
* Assisting with managing the station's emergency arrangements for incidents ranging from nuclear and chemical to environmental and security.
* Supporting annual emergency exercise planning, scenario development, logistics, and delivery.
* Conducting exercise debriefs, capturing lessons learned, and supporting training needs.
* Liaising with emergency equipment owners, external stakeholders, local authorities, and emergency services.
* Managing emergency scheme succession planning and maintaining the Emergency Handbook.
* Developing and overseeing emergency preparedness plans, including maintenance and enhancement activities.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of safety and emergency response protocols.
