As a Digital Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of iQ Student Accommodation’s revenue targets, through the delivery of web content optimisation. This role will proactivity seek ways to improve website performance and conversion through effective management of website content and service desk requests. This role will also be responsible for keeping a close eye on competitor digital activity. Key Role Responsibilities: Web Content Management and Website Development Support the team with planning and implementing new listings on the IQ website and partners. Support the team with planning and implementing campaigns aligning with the overarching marketing calendar. Utilise Goggle analytics to analyse website performance. Update and create content on the website CMS, in line with SEO best practice, working closely with the studio team as required. Manage, prioritise and implement website service desk requests, ensuring content is accurate and updates are made within agreed timeframes. Work closely with iQ’s website agency and internal teams to prioritise and progress bug fixes and development requirements. Performance Reporting and Analysis Produce and analyse performance reports across all activity this role is responsible for, using appropriate tools. Provide insights and recommendations. Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports as required. Website Conversion Optimisation Support the delivery of opportunities to increase website conversions through improved content architecture, product visibility, user journey optimisation. Off and on-page SEO Work closely with iQ's SEO agency and the Digital Marketing team, to action recommendations which may include technical fixes and backlinks. Work in partnership with IT and our web development agency to appropriately prioritise the implementation of technical work. Data Management Comply with iQ’s data handling legal policies. Other: Complete regular competitor and industry research on a regular basis, sharing your insights with the wider Marketing team, to keep colleagues up to date with the latest trends. Undertake general team/finance admin e.g. raising POs and liaising with suppliers. Role Scope: This role is based 3 days in our London office. Travel to sites around the UK may be required. Key Relationships: Reporting to the Digital Product Manager. Head of Digital Marketing and company directors. Sales and Marketing team members. External suppliers, partners, advertisers, contractors and agencies. Other iQ team members including the Revenue Management, regional site teams and IT teams. Experience & Skills: Essential: Be passionate about ecommerce with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a B2C environment. Demonstrable understanding of SEO and user journey optimisation for an ecommerce website. Understanding of key performance metrics, and hands-on experience using digital analytics and testing tools e.g. Google Analytics. Working knowledge of website content management systems. Experience in delivering website content optimised for search engines and conversion, using tools to analyse online behaviour, and data to inform decisions. Understanding of the broader digital marketing mix. Natural ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience. Ability to proof-read marketing material with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work on own initiative, in an organised manner. Desirable: Previous experience of the student accommodation sector is desirable, but not essential. This role would suit a results-oriented and data-driven individual keen to help iQ deliver an effective and exciting digital presence.
