Estimating Manager Warwick, Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Director of Rail, the Estimating Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for new projects and schemes in the designated business sector. You will collaborate closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure all aspects of the project are considered and costed accurately.
This is a hybrid role, with occasional requirements to be in our Warwick Head office.
What you’ll do:
* Support the production and submission of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects in a timely manner
* Manage the estimating process at bid, project, or scheme level
* Challenge cost estimates produced by SMEs in Delivery and Engineering
* Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
* Minimize selling costs and response times through standard processes and pricing tools
* Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project plans and schedules
* Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits for information gathering
Who you are:
You will have proven experience in a similar estimating role, with strong skills in cost modelling and analysis. As an expert in Excel, you’ll combine technical proficiency with stakeholder management and communication skills to enable accurate decision-making.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in Transport, Utilities, Telecoms, Construction, or similar industries providing estimating services
* Expertise in Excel
* Strong mathematical skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in office, site, and client/sub-contractor environments
* Full clean driving license with flexibility to be at HQ as required
