Overview
Accredited Financial Investigator x2 (FTC/Secondment) role at Thames Valley Police. Two Posts - Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 2 years. Can be based at either Kidlington or Loddon Valley.
The role is to join the Criminal Finance Team and contribute to the disruption of organised crime by targeting assets via civil forfeiture powers. The team supports Thames Valley Police by conducting Proceeds of Crime Act (PoCA) civil proceedings, pursuing criminals who have benefited from their criminality and seeking to remove such benefit and recover assets.
Responsibilities
* Investigate Cash Seizures, Account Freezing, Listed Assets and Crypto Investigations using PoCA powers to conduct thorough investigations and prepare for court.
* Work with the minimum of supervision, be well organised, and able to meet tight deadlines (preparing case files and handling large volumes of material).
* Demonstrate high attention to detail and excellent investigation skills; review and analyse financial material and present findings clearly and cohesively.
* Complete entrants exam and training (if not already accredited) and submit the respective PDP to attain full accreditation with the NCA Proceeds of Crime Centre (PoCC).
* Be willing to travel for business purposes, mainly across the south east region (TVP, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex) and occasionally throughout the UK; hold a full UK driving licence.
* Security vetting: pass and maintain SC level. Residency in the UK for the past five years is required unless exemptions apply for overseas or diplomatic service or studying abroad.
Requirements
* Be fully accredited as a Financial Investigator (FIO, FI, CRiSP, Confiscator, Restraint, S.47) or be prepared to complete the entrants exam and training to attain accreditation with PoCC.
* Ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
* Full UK driving licence.
