Job summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced business analyst within the Informatics Department at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Key System Improvement Team and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver digital projects and programmes.

Main Duties
* You will be an experienced senior business analyst with over 5 years of experience at this level, who will work with technical, clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders to support the delivery of digital projects and programmes. The postholder will be experienced in utilising appropriate tools and business analysis methodologies whilst aligning to the department’s project delivery lifecycle methodology (PDLC).
* You will need to work effectively across a wide range of stakeholders including technical colleagues, senior clinicians, partner organisations and suppliers working across both agile and waterfall methodologies.
* The ideal candidate will have over 5 years experience at a senior level working within complex digital programmes across multiple work streams and organisations. You will have worked closely with project managers and teams and have a strong focus on using business analysis to support delivery.
* You will also be able to coach and mentor junior or less experienced members of staff.
* The successful applicant will bring strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with sharp critical thinking, sound reasoning, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive, enthusiastic approach.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* IT related degree or an equivalent qualification
* Relevant business analysis qualification: BCS (Business Analysis Courses & Certifications) / IIBA (Senior Business Analysis Certification CBAP | IIBA)
Essential Experience
* Describe when you applied BA tools to gather and document requirements and how this influenced project outcomes.
* Explain a situation where you engaged stakeholders to refine requirements, the techniques used, and how this contributed to success.
* Provide an example of eliciting requirements via workshops/interviews and converting them into user stories or process maps to support delivery.
Skills & Behaviours
* Give an example of when you independently managed multiple analysis tasks or projects, and explain how your autonomous work contributed to successful delivery.
* Describe your approach to being an effective team player.
