We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support routine laboratory operations. The role involves hands-on chemical work, basic organic chemistry procedures and accurate data handling in a regulated lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out routine laboratory experiments and procedures, executing basic organic chemistry techniques
* Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment
* Manage laboratory inventory, including chemical stock checks.
* Accurately record experimental data and maintain laboratory records
* Assist with sample preparation, analysis and reporting
* Collaborate with and support other team members/departments to meet project timelines.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
Requirements
* Practical experience working in a laboratory environment
* Chemical handling skills
* Working knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques
* Strong data handling skills
* Attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* Works well in a team, collaborating with team members
* Relevant qualification in chemistry or a related scientific discipline
