The Information Technology Technician is responsible for day to day support of the hotel computer systems including network, Wi-Fi, server and desktop hardware, printers, TVs software applications, helpdesk management, licensing compliance and asset management. To proactively assist the IT Manager with the implementation of new systems and manage the on-going support and maintenance of existing systems.

Key responsibilities

* Install and configure telephone and computer hardware, operating systems, and standard applications in offices and guest rooms, following approved guidelines
* Carry out routine monitoring and basic maintenance of computer systems and networks in offices and guest rooms
* Provide first-line IT support to internal users, assisting with system and software issues in offices and guest rooms
* Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on hardware such as PCs, printers, TVs, and network equipment
* Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues, escalating when required
* Record support activities, maintain basic documentation, and report issues to the IT Manager or senior team members
* Assist with the rollout of new applications and system updates
* Set up new user accounts and profiles and support users with password resets
* Support printers and multi-function devices in offices and guest areas
* Manage and prioritise assigned tasks under the guidance of the IT Manager
* Work with third-party suppliers and support teams as directed to help resolve technical issues
* Build, install, and deploy PC workstations in line with IT specifications provided by the IT Manager
* Follow company IT policies and procedures and raise any concerns to the IT Manager
* Participate in an out-of-hours support rota when required
* Assist the IT Manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed
* Help maintain system availability across the hotel environment
* Carry out basic checks related to security software such as antivirus, reporting any issues found
* Communicate clearly with suppliers, contractors, and internal users when required
* Attend and actively participate in relevant training sessions as assigned

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal (guest facing position)
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
