The Role
The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication, Production Engineering organization in Sheffield, UK is seeking an experienced Software Engineer–Developer to join the team. Find your future with us!
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science or similar.
* Experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience with systems modeling, which could include energy systems, thermodynamic models, life cycle assessment, system dynamics, etc.
* Academic or work experience focused on sustainable aviation or decarbonizing transportation or heavy industry
* Experience with alternative fuels for transportation such as sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen, or renewable electricity
* Experience with data visualization and communication
* Experience developing modeling and simulation tools as part of a team, including source control software (e.g. git)
* Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
