Merseyside Play Action Council (MPAC) has been developing play across Merseyside since 1974. As the Play Resource Centre for the City, they support all children, young people & families.

Their work:

* Supports organisations helping them to be better governed, managed and resourced. They offer capacity building support including undertaking DBS checks, support through their facilitated Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) Programme and capacity building support.
* Engages C&YP in fun, positive and developmental activities, with everything from recently developed creative art spaces, music tech/tuition/performance spaces to state-of-the-art counselling rooms currently supporting around 100 young people per week meeting a range of mental health and wellbeing needs.
* Connects through their facilitated network of 120 play providers, under the banner of ‘Positive about Play’, enabling collaboration, co-delivery, info and resource sharing to build a stronger play & youth sector.


Job Summary

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for the company. Their Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organisation. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls, booking meeting rooms etc.

This is a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with issues that may arise in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and conflict resolution skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, their Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure visitors are welcomed and assisted positively, and all administrative tasks are executed to the highest quality standards.
