The role will involve support for the school’s general administration, including reception duties, and other key functions such as Groupcall, our home-school communication system. There are two busy receptions in school and we anticipate the postholder being based in our Main Visitor Reception. This role will involve some first-aid duties and the successful candidate should be willing to undertake any necessary training. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, highly accurate written communication skills and very good IT skills. Whilst experience in a school is not essential, we are looking for someone who is used to operating IT systems in a front-of-house setting. The post requires you to be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with students, staff, parents and external organisations. An ability to remain calm in stressful situations, be highly efficient and organised, whilst demonstrating a flexible approach to the role is essential. The hours of work are 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday, with a 4:00pm finish on Fridays.
