Job Description
As Facilities Director, you will lead the strategic and operational management of all facilities across the UK portfolio of logistics sites. You will ensure that buildings, infrastructure, and services support the business's operational needs, compliance requirements, and sustainability goals. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, safety, and innovation across a fast-paced, multi-site 3PL environment.
Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and implement a group-wide facilities strategy aligned with business growth and operational excellence.
* Deliver capital investment projects, refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades.
* Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure future proofing of facilities services and alignment with business requirements
Operational Management:
* Oversee hard and soft FM services across all sites, including planned & reactive maintenance, ESG projects, capital projects, racking, cleaning, security systems, and waste management.
* Ensure statutory compliance is delivered and maintained across all assets.
* Ensure all facilities meet health & safety, fire safety, and environmental compliance standards.
* Create forward maintenance strategies for efficient future replacement of assets.
Team Leadership:
* Manage and develop a team of regional facilities managers, site-based FM's and support staff.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence.

Budget & Supplier Management:
* Prepare and own the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
* Lead Facilities procurement and management of FM contracts and service providers.
Sustainability & Innovation:
* Drive energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and sustainability initiatives across the estate.
* Introduce smart building technologies and data-driven FM solutions.
* Engage and work with landlords and 3rd parties to create and delivery year on year efficiency opportunities
Project Delivery:
* Lead facilities-related projects including site openings, closures, expansions, and refurbishments.
* Collaborate with property and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Lead and develop customer initiatives for warehouse alterations and development
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior facilities leadership role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or industrial sectors.
* Strong understanding of FM operations in a multi-site, high-volume environment.
* Excellent knowledge of UK compliance standards (H&S, fire, environmental).
* Experience managing large budgets and complex supplier relationships.
* Strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Relevant qualifications in FM, engineering, or property management (e.g., IWFM, NEBOSH, RICS, MCIOB, CABE).
