Behaviour Support Assistant Permanent Position

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who have been removed from the main classroom or are based within the school s specialist resource unit. You ll provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help students re-engage positively with learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
* Managing challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
* Implementing strategies to promote positive choices and emotional regulation.
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

What We re Looking For:
* Strong behaviour management and conflict resolution skills.
* Experience working with children or young people (in school, youth work, or similar settings).
* A resilient and empathetic nature, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Transferable skills from roles such as Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Care Worker, or Learning Support Assistant are welcome, but childcare experience is essential.
