Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – SC Cleared
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days on‑site, 2 days remote)
Contract: 6‑month, likely renewable
Rate: Up to £525/day (Inside IR35)
Start: ASAP (Dec 2025 / Jan 2026)
Security Clearance: SC Clearance required
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead SRE activities for large‑scale Azure Cloud projects and mentor other engineers.
* Design, deploy and maintain Azure‑based VMs and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient scaling.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or equivalent).
* Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
* Assess networking requirements and design secure solutions (load balancing, routing, firewalls).
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure Cloud infrastructure and application issues.
* Collaborate with IT Security, Testing, Applications and external suppliers.
* Participate in a 24/7 on‑call support rota.
* Apply a DevOps mindset to automate operations and reduce toil.
* Advantageous: Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS) and multi‑tenant solutions experience.
Qualifications:
* Strong experience with Azure Cloud migrations and networking.
* Proven background in Kubernetes, Terraform and GitHub.
* Experience designing IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of load balancing, routing, firewalls and secure cloud architecture.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure.
* Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
* Experience in a 24/7 on‑call environment.
* DevOps automation mindset.
* Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS) and multi‑tenant experience are a plus.
Additional Roles (listed with relevant details)
DevOps Engineer – AWS Heavy
Technology Stack: AWS, Kafka, Java, NodeJS, Spring Boot, React, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Git, REST API.
Requirements: Remote‑first, minimal travel, immediate start.
Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric
Core Responsibilities:
* Own Microsoft Fabric architecture: Lakehouse, OneLake, Warehouse patterns, Gold Layer modelling.
* Build ingestion and transformation pipelines (Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks).
* Define modelling standards and ensure performance, lineage, observability, governance.
* Manage RBAC, security, and data retention.
* Lead and mentor the delivery team.
* Coordinate internal squads and external suppliers, managing risks and milestones.
* Stakeholder management with product owners and technical leads.
* Maintain operational readiness: runbooks, documentation, security, resilience.
Contract: 12‑month, must hold live and transferable DV Clearance.
Site Reliability Engineer – National Security Platform
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and maintain critical services.
* Participate in 24/7 on‑call rota.
* Improve system availability, performance, resilience.
* Automate repetitive tasks and reduce operational toil.
* Collaborate with dev teams to embed SRE principles.
* Deploy and manage monitoring systems.
* Engage with the wider DevOps/SRE community.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
* Software development (web technologies or OOP – e.g., Python, Java).
* Linux/Windows command line proficiency.
* Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
* Diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
* ITIL knowledge or exposure.
* Awareness of modern tech trends and tooling.
