We are currently recruiting experienced Welders and Fabricators for shutdown work in Stamford. This role involves supporting essential maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks during a scheduled shutdown period.
Carry out welding and fabrication duties on plant equipment
Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on heavy industrial machinery
Work safely in a busy shutdown environment
Follow site safety rules and permit‑to‑work procedures
Work as part of an engineering team to complete shutdown tasks on timeWhat do you need to be a successful Port Operative
City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Welding & Fabrication
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding Engineering
MIG Welding (GMAW)
TIG Welding (GTAW)
Stick/ARC Welding (MMA)
Plasma cutting / oxy-acetylene cutting
Fabrication from drawings
Heavy plant maintenance weldings93
