School Receptionist
* Job Type: Temporary (Part-time)
* Hours: 12pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday
* Location: Norwich
* Salary: £13 per hour
We are seeking a School Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis starting from the 13th of April. This role is crucial for managing our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As the first point of contact for our school, the receptionist will play a key role in the impression we make.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage the reception area and greet visitors and staff in a warm and professional manner.
* Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
* Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
* Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
* Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
* Handle scheduling for the office, including booking and arranging meetings, appointments, and room reservations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
* Professional attitude and appearance.
* Solid written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Customer service attitude.
Additional Information:
* The initial requirement is for at least one month, with potential extension.
* Specific working hours: 13th April - full day, 14th April - 12pm to 5pm, followed by regular hours from 12pm to 4pm daily.
