Events and Communications Manager
Location: Manchester
Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week
Fixed Term: 15-month fixed contract. To start ASAP
We’re seeking an experienced Events & Communications Manager to lead external corporate events, supporting business development with a focus on brand awareness and reputation.
The role involves managing event logistics, content development, and collateral creation, with responsibilities including:
* Planning and delivering monthly events
* Managing logistics for sector-specific exhibitions
* Organizing internal engagement events
* Budget management
* Point of contact for event inquiries
* Event delivery and team coordination
* Evaluating event performance and feedback
* Developing an external events calendar
* Overseeing hiring of event personnel
* Monitoring and improving event success
In communications, responsibilities include:
* Leading marketing strategies for events and projects
* Promoting events and managing invitations and RSVPs
* Developing sponsorship opportunities
* Aligning messaging across teams
* Implementing marketing strategies with PR & Communications
* Enhancing internal communications and recruitment outreach
Essential skills include:
* At least 3 years in event management and communications
* Strategic planning and logistical coordination
* Independent working and initiative-taking
Preferred skills include:
* B2B marketing experience
* Team leadership experience
* Proficiency with Zoom Webinar, Salesforce, Canva
* Agency environment experience
