Key Responsibilities
* Undertake statutory social work assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation.
* Visit children and families to gather information, assess needs, and evaluate risks.
* Identify safeguarding concerns and initiate Section 47 enquiries where necessary.
* Participate in child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and multi-agency planning sessions.
* Develop, implement, and review care and protection plans collaboratively with stakeholders.
* Manage a varied caseload while meeting statutory deadlines and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate, timely records and prepare reports for court and panel hearings.
* Work in partnership with schools, health services, police, and voluntary agencies.
* Provide high-quality written evidence for court and act as a professional witness when required.
