Job Description Welder / Fabricator (MIG & TIG) Location: Crawley Salary: £14.00 – £17.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate (Weekdays and Saturdays) Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (includes 1 x 30-minute and 2 x 15-minute breaks) Overtime Availability: Weekdays up to 17:30, Saturdays 07:30 – 11:30 Company Profile Talented People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established fabrication and engineering firm based in Crawley. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team. Job Profile The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for completing fabrication tasks using both MIG and TIG welding techniques. This hands-on role involves interpreting engineering drawings, preparing materials, and producing high-spec components with precision and quality. Key Responsibilities / Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding to fabricate metal components to required specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production. Measure, cut, and assemble parts as required for custom builds. Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure they meet quality standards. Operate fabrication tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies. Support the team by contributing to a positive and efficient working environment. Participate in overtime shifts as needed, including evenings and Saturday mornings. Requirements / Skills Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Skilled in the use of fabrication tools and workshop machinery. High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality. Proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good timekeeping and communication skills. Experience working in a busy workshop or engineering environment.
