Job Description
We are recruiting a Project Quality Manager to lead the Quality on a landmark Energy project in Teesside.
The Project Quality Manager will lead the delivery of a professional Quality Management service to the project within resource, programme, and budgetary constraints, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, customer, and company requirements. The role involves identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining specific Quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including managing all day-to-day aspects of the project QA/QC resources.
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain the Project Quality Management System and monitor compliance.
* Identify and mitigate quality risks.
* Support the Senior Project Management in achieving Quality Objectives and monitor/report against project Quality KPIs.
* Define quality requirements for subcontractors and supply chain, including pre-qualification assessments.
* Act as the main Quality interface with customers, subcontractors, and supply chain.
* Implement the Quality Surveillance/Right First Time Programme across Costain, subcontractors, and supply chain.
* Develop the project audit plan and oversee verification to ensure contractual compliance, including leading internal and external audits.
* Manage non-conformance processes, including identifying potential failures and applying preventive actions.
* Manage the QA/QC resources considering budget, availability, and location throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure all project Quality Records are verified according to technical specifications and that procedures for monitoring and measuring Quality Records are in place, ensuring Right First Time delivery.
Qualifications
* Chartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institute with CQP status or equivalent.
* Diploma or Bachelor degree in Quality Management, Project Management, or related engineering discipline.
* 10+ years of Quality Management experience, including leading QA and QC teams, preferably in related industries.
* Experience in developing and improving Quality Management Systems.
* Hands-on experience with project and commercial management tools.
* Lead Auditor qualification from a recognized industry body.
* Formal training in root cause analysis techniques.
* Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 standards.
* Proficiency in document management systems and data analysis.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
* Demonstrates excellent customer service behaviors.
