The Role
As Internal Sales, you will play a key role in supporting the estimating team, ensuring a first-class internal sales service and helping to drive successful project outcomes. This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone organised, commercially aware and confident in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.
You will manage day-to-day sales activity, coordinate enquiries, follow up quotations and maintain accurate sales data and reporting, helping MAC to maximise opportunities and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers
Manage incoming sales enquiries and internal sales processes
Follow up quotations and proactively identify additional quoting opportunities
Answer sales and direct incoming telephone calls
Track customer performance and support sales monitoring and reporting
Maintain accurate internal customer records and databases
Collaborate closely with estimating, contracts and wider business teams
Assist with the preparation of office and commercial documentation
Carry out general administrative duties including data input, scanning and document control
About You
You will be a motivated and well-organised individual with experience working in a sales coordination or administration role, ideally within construction or civils.
Essential:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Reasonable experience in the construction industry working in an internal sales role
Strong time management and organisational skills
Database or CRM experience
Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships
Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Office
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable:
Experience using HubSpot would be an advantage
Knowledge of tendering and procurement processes
