What You’ll Be Doing
* Flood risk modelling and analysis: use 1D-2D hydraulic modelling tools to simulate flood scenarios and develop actionable insights.
* Data analysis and GIS: build and validate models, manipulate and analyse hydrological and flood risk data using GIS tools.
* Risk assessment support: contribute to Flood Risk and Consequence Assessments to inform planning and mitigation strategies.
* Solution design: assist in developing flood risk management strategies, including Natural Flood Management approaches.
* Project collaboration: participate in site visits, team and client meetings, and work across fluvial and coastal risk projects.
* Professional development: join the Early Careers Professionals Network to gain exposure to technical, commercial and client-facing aspects.
Environmental Hydrologist (Graduate)
* Assess water quality impacts of abstractions and discharges and evaluate solutions to improve water quality.
* Appraise traditional and nature-based solutions, including river restoration options for heavily modified water bodies.
* Support hydrological assessments, water quality modelling and catchment management planning.
* Visualise and communicate findings using GIS; support stakeholder engagement.
* Participate in geomorphological studies and NbS screening to address environmental challenges.
Hydrogeologist (Graduate)
* Analyze groundwater data to understand aquifer behaviour, recharge and vulnerability.
* Conduct hydrogeological assessments and GIS mapping of groundwater elevations and cross-sections.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements) and a degree obtained no earlier than 2024, or expected in listed disciplines:
