Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality care and emotional support
* Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and personal development
* Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships
* Observing, monitoring, and recording behaviours and progress
* Supporting education, social development, and life skills
* Working alongside professionals such as social workers, schools, and therapists
* Contributing to care planning and attending reviews/meetings
* Supporting behaviour using appropriate strategies
* Maintaining a safe and structured environment
Household responsibilities include:
* Supporting with cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home
* Promoting a healthy lifestyle, including balanced meals
* Ensuring the home is safe, clean, and welcoming
Successful Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children and young people (residential preferred)
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to build strong, positive relationships
* Calm, resilient, and patient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends
* Willingness to complete training and continuous professional development
