You will collaborate with business leaders, employees, and external stakeholders to implement effective SHE practices that promote well-being, environmental sustainability, and workplace safety. You are the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in health, safety and environmental management onsite.
Responsibilities & Duties – Site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager
10. Visible, onsite, leading the Health, Safety & Environmental function across the site, responsible for implementing H&SE management systems, responsible for the wellbeing of 400+people on site
11. An EHS Manager who will lead the development and implementation of the site’s Environment, Health & Safety deployment plan to deliver objectives in line with the Group Sustainability and HSE Strategy
12. Coach and mentor the teams around HSE initiatives
13. Leads BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) program
14. Develop and implement an Environmental Management System
15. Develop an effective EH&S risk management program to ensure compliance
16. Lead the investigation of accidents, Environmental and H&S incidents to identify, implement and maintain corrective actions
17. Analyze EH&S lagging and leading KPIs to identify improvement
18. Work with and support management teams, developing and championing annual safety plans, best practice, develop cohesive solutions to operational SHE challenges and champion continuous improvement and positive leadership behaviours
Experience and qualifications – Site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager
19. Safety leadership experience ideally within logistics, supply chain or general manufacturing environments ideal
20. Be a cultural ambassador by role modelling safety leadership, coaching and developing others to foster and achieve an ‘Excelling’ H&S culture.
21. Empower all levels of the workforce, floor to SLT
22. Visible and approachable - ALWAYS!
23. A NEBOSH qualification, Certificate or Diploma, ideally graduate IOSH
24. Delivering an effective framework for safety program management
25. Delivering an effective framework of incident investigation, auditing, and training oversight
26. Manufacturing and factory or warehousing site experience strongly preferred
27. Certificate in Environmental Management (Assoc Member IEMA) preferred
28. Good working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
29. Diploma in Environmental Management is desirable
30. 5 years’ experience in similar working environment and/or position
31. Proven track record in developing and executing SHE programs and initiatives
