Proper Recruitment are working with a highly regarded Legal 500 ranked firm in Central London who are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor specialising in Contentious Trusts & Probate.
This role will involve overseeing a specialist team while managing a high-quality caseload of complex estate and trust disputes. The team is well known for its technical excellence, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities:
* Managing a varied caseload of contentious probate and trust disputes
* Handling will challenges (capacity, undue influence)
* Advising on executor and trustee disputes, breach of duty and maladministration
* Managing Inheritance Act and proprietary estoppel claims
* Overseeing and mentoring solicitors, trainees and paralegals
* Supporting team development and maintaining high client service standards
* Building strong client relationships and managing expectations
* Contributing to business development, networking and marketing initiatives
* Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and internal policies
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE specialising in Contentious Probate
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Confident handling complex disputes autonomously
* Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills
* Commercially minded with an interest in practice development
* Strong organisational, communication and multitasking abilities
Experience & Qualifications:
* 2:1 or 1st class degree
* Experience supervising junior solicitors and/or paralegals
* Strong technical expertise in estate and trust disputes
* Ability to manage a busy and time-sensitive caseload
