Angus Community Mental Health Service
Assistant Practitioner
Band 4 (£29,116 - £31,670)
South Angus – Bruce House
2 X Full-time permanent posts
We have exciting opportunities in the South Angus Community Mental Health Team and are looking for two Assistant Practitioners to join us. The successful candidates will work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team with a shared goal of delivering the highest standard of person-centered care, supporting service users to maintain wellness in the local community with the support of a well-established multidisciplinary team.
Both posts are based within Bruce House, Arbroath. One post will focus on working in collaboration with service users and their families/carers to provide additional support alongside the Community Mental Health Team as an alternative to admission, during hospital admission (which will involve regular attendance in General Adult Psychiatry wards in Carseview Hospital), and following discharge from hospital, planning and delivering tailored care to support the recovery journey. The other post will focus on providing care and treatment to service users with a range of mental health needs in the South Angus area. Please note that these posts will require weekend working as part of the CMHT Enhanced Weekend Service on a rotational basis.
Both posts are part of an Integrated Community Mental Health Service, which is a component of the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.
Applicants should have a broad range of experience working with individuals who have mental health needs and difficulties and be committed to improving their health outcomes.
The successful candidates will receive a comprehensive induction program alongside ongoing clinical and managerial supervision. Professional development will be supported through various training opportunities, both internal and external.
