A well-established electrical contracting business, providing services for prestige clients in the Educational, Industrial and Commercial sectors throughout the UK & Ireland, is seeking a SHEQ Manager due to continued growth. In this newly created position, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and driving the strategic development of the SHEQ department. They will help ensure that operational practices not only maintain but continuously improve the company's excellent health and safety record, support environmental and sustainability goals, and uphold the highest quality standards across the business. The SHEQ Manager will work across all departments and sites to promote a culture of safety and quality and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards. Contract: Permanent, Full time Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8.30am5pm; Friday: 8.30am2.30pm Key Responsibilities Provide advice, support, and guidance to SHEQ staff. Act as the key point of contact for all SHEQ matters. Lead the management and maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant SHEQ legislation and standards. Deliver SHEQ training and oversee toolbox talks. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring accurate reporting and corrective action. Develop and oversee Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation and records. Manage onboarding processes for new staff and contractors. Report monthly SHEQ statistics and make compliance recommendations. Conduct and monitor site inspections and audits. Schedule repairs of unsafe/damaged equipment. Stay informed on relevant legislative and regulatory changes. Promote continuous improvement in SHEQ performance. Criteria Degree/diploma in a relevant field plus NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). Proven SHEQ experience in electrical, engineering, utilities or construction sectors. Experience managing people and SHEQ teams. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office and SHEQ software. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders. Full UK Drivers Licence.
