NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, and the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
This is a 25.9-hour permanent Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist position for the West Dunbartonshire Tier 3 CAMHS team. Newly qualifying psychologists are encouraged to apply. While we prefer to fill the full hours, applications for fewer hours will be considered.
You will be involved in delivering and governing psychological therapies within the service, working with senior clinicians and the service manager to manage waiting times and ensure high-quality clinical service delivery in line with Scottish Government Local Delivery Plan targets.
You will join a group of over 100 psychologists in Specialist Children’s Services and around 350 psychologists within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. There are strong links with the University of Glasgow's Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme and the MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People at the University of Edinburgh.
We welcome applications from Clinical / Counselling Psychologists with experience in service delivery, management, and working with complex cases, especially within a Tier 3 CAMHS setting.
