Responsibilities Ambulatory Operating Room setting with two ORs, two GI procedural rooms, and one interventional radiology room Handles adult patients across specialties including orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder, elbow), interventional radiology, GI, ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, and robotics Patients may be prepped and recovered in a pre/post-op area with 20 bays managed by a team of 10 RNs and 1 PCT Scheduled for four 10-hour day shifts per week (6:30 am - 5:00 pm), with occasional late days, and day off based on department needs No on-call requirements for this position Floating within the perioperative department may occur as needed Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred Pre/post RN duties include prepping patients for surgery, medication reconciliation, obtaining vital signs, starting IVs, and recovering post-anesthesia patients Works closely in a multidisciplinary team alongside surgeons, anesthesia, and other OR nurses All required modules must be completed pre-start, averaging four hours Locals within 60 miles are accepted but are considered at a local rate First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Must include all requested time off (RTO) at the time of application; requests for multiple RTOs in an 8-13 week contract may be denied Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November) Return travelers must follow a one-year separation rule from previous employment within the health system Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required; SC license in hand preferred Current American Heart Association BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent OR RN experience Experience in ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, total joints, or similar specialties required A radiation badge must be provided by the parent company Must provide Social Security Number and driver's license for consideration Previous perm staff (including PRN) must have separated from the health system for at least one year prior to applying Epic EMR experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626741.
