Remuneration: £51,000 + performance-related bonus

The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of contracts, ensuring outstanding service delivery, strong commercial performance, and long-term client satisfaction.
This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate across multiple functions, balancing operational delivery with commercial strategy. You'll play a key part in driving efficiencies, supporting growth, and maintaining high standards across all contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate tender submissions and bid activity
* Manage contract performance against KPIs and SLAs
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
* Support commercial activities including material sales and logistics coordination
* Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives
* Produce detailed reports to support operational and commercial decision-making
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
* Spot and develop new commercial opportunities
* Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance
* Represent the business at industry events when required
About You
Essential:
* Proven experience in contract or account management
* Background within waste, recycling, or a related sector
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Commercially aware with a proactive mindset
* Strong written and reporting skills with attention to detail
* Confident user of Microsoft Office and digital systems
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience managing logistics or haulage operations
* Exposure to commercial portfolios or P&L responsibility
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) preferred
