As a Casual Luggage Porter at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that creates a welcoming environment for guests. In this role, you will help facilitate guests' arrival and departure by working closely with the Guest Service Manager to ensure the smooth handling of guest luggage. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring all guests and customers are greeted warmly upon arrival.
Maintaining a high level of integrity, courtesy and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests, employees and outside contacts.
Delivering exceptional customer service when greeting and welcoming all guests and escorting them to chauffeurs and departure platforms.
Coordinating luggage collection and transfer operations, including manual handling, ensuring that all bags are properly tagged and that guests' luggage is placed in cabins as quickly as possible.
Keeping management well informed of all guest concerns and complaints, and taking action where needed.
Requirements
What You Bring:
Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
Experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry, is an advantage.
Exceptional communication, organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Personable approach, genuine personality and generous spirit.
Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints.
