Job/Person Summary
Kempshott Junior School is a large, 3 form entry school on the outskirts of Basingstoke. We are lucky to have spacious well kept grounds, a MUGA, woodland walk, and a Breakfast, Afterschool and Holiday Club, serving a large and friendly community.
Our Office staff are a busy, flexible and happy team who look after the staff, parents and the children in all aspects of school life. We are seeking an enthusiastic friendly and caring Admin Assistant, ideally with school office experience, who will be the first point of contact welcoming our parents, children and visitors.
Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential and previous experience using school I.T. systems, currently Tucasi and Arbor, would be preferred. With 'an eye for detail', needed when dealing with attendance or reconciling dinner monies and trip income. You must be prepared to turn your hand to anything as there is not such thing as a typical day in the Office.
You will be able to work calmly under pressure, prioritising your busy workload, with the knowledge that our children are 'always' the priority, so 'patience is a virtue', whilst providing care and support to their needs and providing First Aid on a daily basis as required.
You will be expected to maintain confidentiality at all times and work professionally in adherence to all school policies, values and the ethos of our school.
The School Office is a unique environment, extremely busy, often demanding but exceedingly rewarding If you feel you have what it takes, we would be very interested in meeting you.
