Job Introduction
We have an exciting, new opportunity for Business Development Managers to join Lucion and support our growth! We are hiring experienced Business Development Managers for various locations, primarily near our Runcorn office.
Role Responsibility
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping Lucion achieve its revenue goals. You will be responsible for expanding our customer base, exceeding sales targets through new client acquisition and cross-selling within existing accounts. You will bring thought leadership, manage your sales pipeline, collaborate with marketing, and work as part of a high-performing team to deliver excellent customer service.
The Duties Of The Business Development Manager Include:
* Develop and execute a business plan with the commercial team to meet and exceed targets.
* Manage inbound leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
* Use data-driven prospecting and qualification techniques like BANT and MEDDICC.
* Forecast and manage opportunities using CRM systems.
* Attend networking events and generate qualified leads.
* Coordinate with subject matter experts to prepare quotations and ensure contract compliance.
* Manage the full sales process, including order placement and credit checks.
* Collaborate with account teams for cross-selling and referrals.
* Review KPIs and report on sales activities.
* Support colleagues and share best practices.
* Provide regular reporting on risks, issues, and opportunities.
* Utilize all tools effectively to maintain comprehensive sales records.
* Perform other duties as assigned to provide excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Knowledge of sales techniques like Challenger, SPIN, Miller Heiman, or Sandler.
* Experience in selling service-based contracts.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Experience with opportunity qualification techniques.
* IT proficiency, including CRM and Microsoft 365.
* Experience in risk management consulting is preferred.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
