Maintenance Support - Assets – UK & Ireland
About the role
The Maintenance Support – Assets, role provides dedicated support to ensure all asset and equipment information is accurate, traceable, and compliant across the UK & Ireland maintenance function. The position focuses on asset identification, documentation integrity, and CMMS data verification to maintain reliable asset records that support regulatory compliance, engineering change control, and long-term asset performance. Acting as the technical custodian for maintenance asset data, the role will ensure that all information, from equipment drawings to maintenance history, is accurate and accessible
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, verify, and maintain accurate asset and equipment identification across all zones and systems.
2. Ensure all technical documentation, equipment drawings, and maintenance records are current, accurate, and controlled.
3. Support engineering change control by managing updates to asset data, drawings, and documentation following modifications.
4. Coordinate with reliability, engineering, and maintenance teams to maintain CMMS asset integrity and traceability.
5. Act as the primary technical reference for asset information, maintenance history, and equipment lifecycle records.
6. Conduct routine asset verification and reconciliation exercises to confirm CMMS accuracy against physical installations.
7. Support the creation of asset hierarchies and data structures in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
8. Assist in preparing and maintaining audit-ready asset documentation for COMAH and regulatory inspections.
9. Promote continuous improvement in asset data quality and system utilisation across maintenance and engineering teams
About You
You will have strong IT literacy, including Excel and CMMS use, and proven experience in maintenance coordination, planning, or CMMS administration within an industrial or engineering environment. Proficiency in P&ID drawings and the ability to identify electrical, mechanical, and operational assets is essential. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication across all levels are key. Flexibility to travel across UK & Ireland sites is required.
