Registered Nurse

The Elective admissions lounge is small friendly department, that assists in a patients surgical pathway. We are the point of admission for elective surgical patients, and the place where the final checks are performed before they have their surgery.

We look after General surgery patients, Urology, ENT, Breast, Gynaecology, working closely with theatres, wards, and the multidisciplinary team.

We work Monday-Friday 7am until 5pm. No weekends and No bank holidays.

As we are a specialised area we appreciate there maybe concerns, however no experience is required as full training will be given to right candidate. Some surgical experience would be ideal, however not essential.


Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should be highly motivated, a good team worker and keen to learn.Role requirements:

* Current NMC Registration
* Some surgical knowledge experience would be preferable.
* Able to manage your own workload.

Induction and training will be provided so experience is not essential.

Qualifications & Education

* Current NMC Registration

* IT Literate
* Provides advice, support, day to day supervision and allocation of clinical workload for members of the team.


Experience

* Evidence of leading a team/ leadership skills
