Private Client Solicitor | Chard, Somerset | Full Time | £60,000 (negotiable) plus Discretionary Bonus
Our client's firm, founded in 1870, has offices in South Somerset and East Devon, with a sub-office in Mid Devon. With 3 Partners and 22 staff, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional client service in Private Client law.
Are you the right person for the job?
* 5–10 years' post-qualification experience in Private Client law
* Strong background handling Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney
* Confidence in managing a varied caseload in a busy office environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first approach
* Willingness to take on a client-facing, face-to-face role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A collaborative mindset, working effectively with partners, fee earners, trainees, and support staff
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and service
What will your role look like?
* Manage a diverse portfolio of Private Client matters
* Work closely with one Partner, two senior fee earners, a trainee solicitor, and support staff to deliver exceptional client care
* Provide expert advice and support to clients in a friendly, professional manner
* Contribute to a department that represents approximately 60% of the firm's billing
* Ensure compliance with firm procedures, maintaining high standards of client service
What can you expect in return?

* 23–24 days' annual leave, plus an additional day for your birthday from next year, and all statutory bank holidays
* Sick pay is three weeks at full pay, followed by statutory sick pay
