Role: Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Bedford
Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: £15.38 to £16.80 per hour dependant on experience
Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Duties of a Accounts Payable Assistant:
Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding against budgets
Input multi-country stock and overhead invoices
Prepare BACS and international payment runs, recognising priority payments
Manage supplier account queries and process purchase returns
Reconcile supplier statements, ledgers, and multi-currency bank accounts
Set up new supplier accounts, including bank account validation
Post intercompany purchase invoices and journals
Support accounts payable month-end activities and wider group management accounts
Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the team
Provide general support across all finance tasks as required

Education / Qualifications / Experience Required:
AAT qualification or equivalent experience in a finance/accounts payable role
