Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home in line with the Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Deliver high-quality, child-focused care that promotes stability and positive long-term outcomes.
Supervise, mentor and develop residential support staff, ensuring strong team culture and high standards of practice.
Support with rota planning, recruitment, staff development and performance management.
Contribute to the homes continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections, audits, and reviews.
Build strong working relationships with children, families, local authorities and external partners.
Provide shift cover where needed and participate in the on-call rota.
Requirements: NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a childrens residential home.
Background of progression from Residential Support Worker into management.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, relevant legislation, and Ofsted standards.
