About the Role
A warm and welcoming family based in Surrey is seeking an experienced and professional Night Nanny to support the care of their 2-year-old child overnight. The family also has a newborn who will remain under the care of the mother.
This role will focus primarily on ensuring the toddler feels secure and supported throughout the night while maintaining a calm and structured bedtime routine. The nanny will also assist with some daytime childcare while the family travels in Europe.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, calm and highly experienced with young children, particularly toddlers and families with multiple children.
Key Responsibilities
* Sleeping in the same room as the 2-year-old and providing attentive overnight care
* Supporting a calm and reassuring bedtime routine
* Ensuring the child feels safe, comfortable and settled throughout the night
* Responding to night wakings as needed
* Maintaining a warm, nurturing and secure environment
* Assisting with standard nursery duties, including:
o Keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas tidy
o Organising toys and belongings
o Light housekeeping related to the child
* Supporting the child’s emotional wellbeing and development
* Assisting with daytime childcare when travelling with the family
Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking a professional nanny who is:
* Highly experienced with toddlers and families with multiple children
* Knowledgeable about early childhood development
* Gentle, calm and nurturing
* Confident managing sleep routines and night care
* Proactive, organised and reliable
* Engaging and attentive to the child’s needs
* Comfortable travelling internationally with a family
Language Requirements
* Ideally Portuguese or Spanish, though not essential
* Fluent English is required
