We have registered an amazing opportunity working for this busy organisation within their fun and vibrant finance team.
The role of Temporary Credit Controller plays a key role in managing customer credit limits and debt collection. Working alongside one other team member within a larger finance team, you will ensure that appropriate credit limits and payment terms are set to balance sales opportunities with financial risk. You will be responsible for chasing overdue debt and ensuring that all debt-related correspondence is clearly communicated and visible to stakeholders. In addition, you will play an important role in fraud awareness by monitoring customer activity, identifying potential risks, and helping to protect the business against fraudulent transactions.
Role: Temporary Credit Controller
Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 Per Hour
Location: Wantage, Oxfordshire
Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 or 09:00 – 18:00 (30 min early finish on Friday)
This is a fully office-based position.
Please note, this is a Temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Credit Controller Responsibilities
1. Ensure our customers are aware of their account balances
2. Contact customers who have overdue balances
3. Setup new customers, checking their validity and issue credit limits and terms
4. Liaise with our Credit insurance provider on credit limit requests
5. Liaise with the sales team in relation to upcoming orders
6. Liaising with the OS team to ensure a smooth & timely despatch of orders
7. Negotiate payment plans where necessary
8. Ensure our Debtor related systems are synchronised (i.e. NS, AIG and RBS Discounting)
9. Instigate legal proceedings if customers do not pay their debts on time (including liaising with Solicitors and Bailiffs)
10. Maintaining accurate customer records
11. Deal with queries from Customers & Account Managers
12. Release orders on Finance Hold
13. Daily invoicing
14. Carry out annual credit review
15. Updating our CRM with Customer payments
16. Proactively manage the customer credit requirements
Temporary Credit Controller Requirements
17. Extensive experience of purchase ledger processing
18. Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
