Personal Assistant for a 16‑year‑old with Autism and Learning Disability
We are looking for a caring, patient, reliable and fun‑loving Personal Assistant to support my 16‑year‑old son in Bishopbriggs.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care support.
* Assist with daily living activities.
* Support access to social and leisure activities such as swimming, bowling, eating out, playing FIFA, music and dancing.
* Help develop skills and support building friendships and connections.
* Support learning about countries, flags, languages and cultures.
* Ensure shift plans are discussed with the family.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must be physically fit.
* Male candidate preferred due to the nature of the role.
* Experience supporting young people with autism and a learning disability desirable.
* Driver with a clean licence desirable.
* Successful applicant will be responsible for paying for and maintaining a PVG.
Pay & Hours
* Rate of pay: £18 per hour.
* Up to 15 hours per week (after school, evenings, weekends). Additional hours during school holidays and cover are available.
* Shifts to be discussed at interview.
