We are looking for a motivated and confident practitioner to join our team as a Band 7 Urgent Care Practitioner. This role offers the chance to work autonomously within a stand-alone UTC, managing a wide range of presentations.
You will use your advanced assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills to provide safe, effective care, supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Contributing to the delivery of high-quality urgent care for our coastal and rural communities. Giving you the opportunity to maintain and develop a broad clinical skill set.
We also welcome applications from experienced Band 6 Clinicians seeking progression. A Trainee UCP route is available for the right candidate with a clear supported plan to develop into a Band 7 role through supervised practice, competency achievement and ongoing professional development.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with experience in Urgent or Emergency care.To work as a competent, autonomous Practitioner, within a multi-disciplinary team in the unscheduled care service. The post holder will initiate clinical assessment including triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, review or discharge using a range of advanced skills and expert knowledge for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Education and Training
* Registered professional either HCPC paramedic or NMC live registration
* Post Graduate Bsc in Autonomous or advanced practice / or relevant to role
* Prepared to undertake or hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification
* Minor injury and illness training
* Teaching qualification or demonstrable experience in informal/formal teaching/CPD of others to mentor students
* Masters Level qualification e.g MSc in advanced practice or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience through a combination of advanced clinical practice, master level modules/formal courses relevant to area of expertise
* IRMER Training
* Undertake audits or research as part of role.
Knowledge and Experience
* Clinical Supervision of other staff as required
* Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. NICE guidance, relevant to urgent care, Safeguarding Adults & children, streaming and triage
