Business Manager
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a forward‑thinking secondary school located just outside of Stockport, who are seeking an experienced and organised School Business Manager to join their leadership and operations team from June.
This is a key role within the school, responsible for ensuring the effective management of finances, resources, and support services to enable the school to operate efficiently and deliver high‑quality education.
The Role
* Lead on financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure
* Oversee the school’s administrative, HR, and operational functions
* Manage facilities, contracts, and supplier relationships
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements
* Support the Senior Leadership Team with strategic planning and decision‑making
* Line‑manage support staff and contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in a school business management, finance, or operational role
* Strong financial acumen and organisational skills
* Knowledge of school systems, processes, and compliance requirements (desirable)
* Effective leadership and people‑management skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
This role requires an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references in line with safer recruitment practices.
