As a Lead HSQE Manager at Story Contracting you will represent HSQE at the Senior Management Team level within the North West region. You will be responsible for driving safety performance, ensuring that the HSQE management system is implemented and advice and support is provided consistently across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing the development of a positive health & safety and sustainability culture focused upon accident prevention and improving the health & safety of all personnel on-site and adding social value to the project offerings.
* Leadership of the regional operational HSQE team
* Ensure that professional HSQE support and guidance is provided consistently across the region to enable the effective management of health & safety in accordance with, and by contributing towards HSQE Policies, Standards, Procedures and Operation licenses.
* Deliver governance and audit strategies
* Ensure thorough event investigations and emerging risk reviews are completed
* Produce reporting and trend analysis
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives

The Ideal Candidate
* Extensive experience of managing HSQE within Construction or rail engineering environments
* Experience of managing a team
* HND / degree or equivalent in Health and Safety (essential)
* HND / degree or equivalent in Environment (desirable/optional)
* Chartered member of IOSH/IEMA
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
