Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of transactions.
Duties
* Assist in managing accounts payable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and promptly.
* Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions and maintain organised records.
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Workday to manage financial data.
* Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide necessary documentation for audits.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services regulations and best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
* Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Workday is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in data entry and management with a high degree of accuracy.
