Responsibilities and Duties
Your role will involve the management of the Day unit and Health Maintenance Service, reporting to the Team Leader/Senior Charge Nurse. You will also support the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as required, providing advice, support and guidance on the mental health and wellbeing of adults to a variety of other agencies and partners.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a registered mental health nurse with post‑registration experience in an acute or community setting and mentoring or supervisory experience. Highly developed communication and assessment skills are essential, along with specialist knowledge and clinical competencies to plan and evaluate evidence‑based interventions for adults with a variety of mental health needs.
Essential Requirements
* Candidates must hold a current UK NMC registration pin.
* Experience in an acute or community mental health setting.
* Mentoring or supervisory experience.
* Ability to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
* Commitment to professional development and contribution to service development.
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Adults with Incapacity and Community Care legislation.
* Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Working Hours and Pay
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
